Since 1838, the DARTIGALONGUE family has been making artisanal Armagnacs in Nogaro.
To celebrate the 180 years of the House, we have created this Cuvée "Louis-Philippe" (King of the French in 1838). This 42° blend is composed of 5 Vintages: 1979, 1983, 1986, 1992, and 1994. These vintages have been selected for their quality and their complementarity. Their marriage gives a unique and remarkable blend by its finesse, its greediness and its length in mouth.
Nose: the nose is very fine and expressive, it gives off notes of white flowers, honey, light tobacco and spices. After a few minutes of airing, subtle notes of rancio and leather appear.
Palate: the attack is frank but the alcohol is perfectly integrated. The silky tannins develop and reveal notes of candied fruit, with a nice freshness. The length in the mouth is remarkable, the delicate finish opens on notes of liquorice and lightly smoked. A spirit that has reached its peak!
Pairings : To be enjoyed on its own, for pleasure, or with a cigar.
